Chablis Grand Cru

The Obédience Reserve

The Grand Cru with an unparalleled, fine, complex, and intense profile

Domaine Laroche’s flagship Grand Cru, renowned for its finesse and charm. Since 1991, the unique blend of the best selection of Grand Cru “Les Blanchots” has taken place early each summer, annually, in the historic cellars. Each year, the vintage is “sponsored” by a sponsor who joins in this unique moment (Andreas Larsson in 2019, Julie Depouy in 2017, Elyse Lambert in 2015, Gérard Basset in 2014…). Limited edition of 1,500 to 3,000 bottles maximum.

Domaine Laroche’s jewel, combining finesse, complexity, and intensity.

The Vineyard

Domaine Laroche owns 4.34 hectares of this Grand Cru, representing approximately one-third of the total surface area of this climat. Les Blanchots derive their name from the white clays highly present on this exceptionally steep hillside. An ideal subsoil structure that retains water deep down to nourish the roots. The southeast exposure and the presence of clay allow for slow maturation, without degradation of aromas, often a guarantee of finesse and liveliness in the wines.

15 – 20 years
