The Premier Cru, a generous expression.
Mont de Milieu takes its name from its location on a hill that once delineated a border between Burgundy and Champagne. On the hill of Mont de Milieu, on one side was the Chablis district, over which the town had special rights, formerly located in the County of Champagne. On the other side was Fleys, belonging to the Duchy of Burgundy.
Finesse, minerality, anise notes.
The Vineyard
The vines of this climat are planted on the flank of a hill, protected from winds, particularly from the north by the woods that overlook it. The south/south-east facing slope is steep. Facing the Serein valley, air circulates freely, and sunlight is present from morning to evening.
